Orchards are a kind of farm where crops are grown on trees. There are many kinds of orchards. In some orchards fruit is grown from trees and in other orchards nuts are grown from the trees. Most orchards only have one kind of tree and produce only one kind of fruit. The types of orchards found in an area are largely determined by what the climate of an area is and what types of trees, fruits and nuts thrive in that climate. Some orchards are walnut orchards while others are chestnut orchards. There are also orange orchards, apple orchards, cherry orchards, apricot orchards, grapefruit orchards, pear orchards, macadamia nut orchards, almond orchards, and lemon orchards.
